While fire suppression and prevention are the department's most obvious responsibilities, we also provide the community with:

• Emergency medical services
• Hazardous materials response
• Extrication and rescue

As mentioned above, we often respond to non-fire emergencies. In fact, ESFPD is most commonly dispatched to provide emergency medical services. Hazards such as carbon monoxide, gas leaks and downed power lines may also result in a fire department response.

This site is funded solely by the donations of individual Edge-Scott firefighters. The department budget is focused on equipment, operations and training.
